LODGING & TRANSPORTATION

Volunteers are requested to provide their own lodging or accommodation. Typically, returning volunteers group together and share a condo or have friends in the valley. We additionally have a handful of lodging offers available for all Stifel Birds of Prey volunteers this year, and have expanded options to include accommodations in Beaver Creek, Avon, Eagle and Vail.

Beaver Creek is very accessible either by car or air. Most people arrive by car, that way you have more flexibility once you are here. If you are arriving by air you have two choices for ground transportation are rental car or Epic Mountain Express.

Our Housing Coordinator can assist in helping you find a place to stay. Please contact us via email if you are looking for a place and we may be able to provide you with a discounted lodging rate, help connect you with a group who has a spare bedroom, or make other recommendations. If you are a group renting a condo and have a spare room, please reach out to us so we can try to help you fill that space.

VOLUNTEER LODGING

Beaver Creek is very accessible either by car or air. Most people arrive by car, that way you have more flexibility once you are here.

Realizing that many of our volunteers arrive from out of state, or out of country, you have two choices for airports. The Eagle County Region Airport (EGE) and is located in Eagle, CO., about a 1/2 hour drive to Beaver Creek. Unfortunately, this time of year service is limited to connector flights from Denver via United, or direct flights on American via Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW). The major hub airport is Denver International Airport (DEN). This is a hub city for United, Southwest, and Frontier and offers direct flights from just about everywhere.  Airfares to DEN tend to be cheaper because there is a lot more competition. It is about a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive from DEN to Beaver Creek. The only possible drawback is road conditions on I-70 over the passes. The highway department does an excellent job of keeping this road open, but there are times when mother nature wins.

As a volunteer with the Stifel Birds of Prey, you are eligible for an Epic Mountain Express transportation code. To receive your code, please email vvfvolunteer@vvf.org.
